Thanks for clicking and checking this out. This is “On Occasion”, and yes the name says alot. We are not doing a daily blog. It’s not a 3-posts-a-week grind. Not doing content for the sake of content. We are a small group of people—nerding out on pop culture, tech, gaming and media—when we actually have something to say.
“On Occasion” is a space where we can freely share thoughts, reactions, rants, reviews, and discoveries. Some days that might look like a deep dive into a show we just finished. Other times, it might be a quick reaction to a game trailer, a nostalgic spiral about an old console, or a quiet reflection on how tech and media are shaping our lives.
It’s casual, it’s creative, and it comes when it’s ready.
So… why start this?
Honestly? Because I wanted a space that I didn’t want us to be driven by algorithms or urgency. A place without pressure of any kind. We’re surrounded by content machines. Everyone is trying to beat the clock, stay relevant, and post daily. That was not what I wanted. I wanted to have a place where I can connect without the pressure of having to keep up with the FYP algorithm.
The name “On Occasion” isn’t just clever. It’s the mission statement. You won’t get bombarded with noise. You’ll get thoughtful, fun, sometimes weird, and mostly always nerdy takes—when they’re ready.
What kind of content will live here?
Expect posts about the things we genuinely care about—movies, shows, video games, internet culture, and tech. We will write about what’s happening in media, what we are watching or playing, what’s sparking some ideas in our heads. Sometimes we will drop a YouTube video or a podcast-style post. Sometimes it’ll just be a wall of text and images, or a nicely placed GIF. And sometimes, we won’t post at all— and that’s okay.
We’re not about perfection. We are about sharing real thoughts when they feel real. When something moves us, bugs us, or just makes us want to hit “record” or “publish,” you’ll hear about it. Until then? We are probably working, playing something, watching something, or quietly plotting the next post.
